Cinnamon Cathedral Hotel is really something. The staff are the most accommodating, helpful and friendly I have ever encountered at a hotel. I got hot chocolate for my last night as a good-bye gesture. How lovely!
I stayed in the room on the top floor facing the cathedral. It is very spacious with a beautiful view, comfy bed (huge), and charming balcony. The room has all amenities: hair dryer, robes, slippers, kettle, fridge, cupboard space & plenty of hangers.
The breakfast included was generous with plenty of options.
The location is perfect for exploring the old quarters.
I never really understood the difference between this hotel and their other branch which is literally three houses down the street, but I would definitely stay in the cathedral branch again.
The only negative (and it is minor!) was the quality of the laundry service which used a very strongly scented detergent and ironed the clothes a bit hard.
ABSOLUTE 5 STAR TREATMENT from the wonderful staff and the manager. The food (arguably the best Pho from North to South Vietnam), the spacious rooms and balcony's, the modern (but authentic ambience) of the hotel in the heart of Hanoi, the close walking distance to almost any historical site you desire, shopping, markets, Old Quarter, French Quarter, the historical St Josephs Cathedral. What more can I say ... magnificent stay ... whichever way you look at it. Thank you Tracy, Phoenix and Sony. We judged every other hotel/resort against our week's stay at The Cinnamon ... and although they were all different and wonderful in their own ways ... nothing compared to The Cinnamon Hotel, Hanoi. We will always remember our holiday with you and will MOST DEFINITELY BE BACK. Such a great place to stay.
