A surprising gem - good view for new year fireworks

I think this actually a 2 star hotel. I just came from staying at a luxurious resort, so this was more humble accomodations. The hotel is a very charming, a french building with Japanese styled rooms. Our room was a nice cool oasis from the heat and hustle and bustle outside. It isn't a five star resort, but they have a five star staff that you won't find even at a high end resort. You really need to stay here for the staff. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Yen at the front desk was great. We rang in the new year with Yen because we were quite exhausted being out and about so much. Their neighbors (vendors) also celebrated right outside, which created a very nice atmosphere. It was a nice surprise that we could see the fireworks from our 2nd floor balcony, so we sat, drank, and watched the show. I included the pic of our view of the new year's fireworks. I'm sure people on higher floors got even better views. Jenny was soooo helpful, so make sure to look for her. I really wanted to catch a show at the opera house on the 31st, but tickets were limited. I tried to book online, but there were no seats available where my husband and i could sit next to each other. Also, one of us would have had to puchase a higher priced seat at $50. We couldn't even get through when calling, but somehow Jenny managed to get us two tickets in really good seats next to each other for about $29 each the day of the show. The My Village show was amazing in the opera house. She also has all the insider tips on the best places to go for everything - she saved us a lot of money this way, but also we were able to buy great things and eat delicious food. It was like having a local vietnamese friend. We also forgot our passport and visas, but housekeeping and Jenny made sure we got them. They are very honest there and you dont have to worry about your belongings or safety. They also had lovely stories and poems written up and put on our beds everyday that made the stay extra special and personal. The breakfast was delicious with enough options and the decor couldn't have been any cuter for christmas and the new years. Tip - their long island ice tea is very strong and delicious so try that one for a complimentary cocktail.
