A surprising gem - good view for new year fireworks

I think this actually a 2 star hotel. I just came from staying at a luxurious resort, so this was more humble accomodations. The hotel is a very charming, a french building with Japanese styled rooms. Our room was a nice cool oasis from the heat and hustle and bustle outside. It isn't a five star resort, but they have a five star staff that you won't find even at a high end resort. You really need to stay here for the staff. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Yen at the front desk was great. We rang in the new year with Yen because we were quite exhausted being out and about so much. Their neighbors (vendors) also celebrated right outside, which created a very nice atmosphere. It was a nice surprise that we could see the fireworks from our 2nd floor balcony, so we sat, drank, and watched the show. I included the pic of our view of the new year's fireworks. I'm sure people on higher floors got even better views. Jenny was soooo helpful, so make sure to look for her. I really wanted to catch a show at the opera house on the 31st, but tickets were limited. I tried to book online, but there were no seats available where my husband and i could sit next to each other. Also, one of us would have had to puchase a higher priced seat at $50. We couldn't even get through when calling, but somehow Jenny managed to get us two tickets in really good seats next to each other for about $29 each the day of the show. The My Village show was amazing in the opera house. She also has all the insider tips on the best places to go for everything - she saved us a lot of money this way, but also we were able to buy great things and eat delicious food. It was like having a local vietnamese friend. We also forgot our passport and visas, but housekeeping and Jenny made sure we got them. They are very honest there and you dont have to worry about your belongings or safety. They also had lovely stories and poems written up and put on our beds everyday that made the stay extra special and personal. The breakfast was delicious with enough options and the decor couldn't have been any cuter for christmas and the new years. Tip - their long island ice tea is very strong and delicious so try that one for a complimentary cocktail.

Reasonably priced, well located, & genuinely felt boutique

My girlfriend and I wanted to ensure we didn't miss our flight back from Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), so came back from our Vietnam travels a day early and spent the night at the Cinnamon Boutique Hotel, which we chose from the Trip Advisor reviews. Overall we'd recommend and stay again.

Pros: clean room with nice boutique touches (old French colonial feel), very attentive staff, very central location (10mins from main market / bus station and a short walk to the main attractions), fair price for the quality of hotel.

Cinnamon Hotel, a Delightful stay in Saigon

We were greeted warmly by the young ladies on reception & presented with a cool towel & juice/water each time we retuned to the hotel. We were always treated by our first names. This made us feel very comfortable.

The two young male staff members did the heavy lifting of cases up to your room.

It's exceionally clean & run very efficiently by the young staff.

The hotel is situated in the heart of busy city, with in easy walking distance to restaurants & bars.

We were situated on the very top floor, in a delightfully room called Rose.

The room itself is spacious with a king bed, TV, bathroom with bath.

We had a double aspect on to the streets with beautiful French shutters.

This hotel has excellent Eco features. Such as bins for different waste & paper that's biodegradable.

Breakfast was included in our package & was a small but good selection, tasty & well presented.

They also do a mean cocktail & your first one is free.

You can eat other meals at the hotel but we choose to eat out as that was part of our exploring the City time.

Our booking also included one free foot massage. Which after a long day of exploring was very much appreciated.

Street nose can be a little loud in the morning, evenings quieten down a lot.

We were Ben presented with a handmade Christmas card and each day a note with the local weather forecast and a little poem was left in the room.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. There are only 10 rooms in this very busy hotel so if you have an awkward timed flight book an extra night. They can store luggage for you if it's just a few hours from check out to your flight.

On a side note taxi's are very cheap & your only half hour from airport so I would not bother with the hotels arranged service as this was the most expensive one at $27 for one way of out Vietnam tour.

Thank you once again for this welcoming and fun staff.

“Vietnamreise”
